2024 SDG Gender Index: A Gender Equal Future in Crisis

The 2024 SDG Gender Index, the world’s most comprehensive gender equality Index aligned to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).This Index includes 139 countries (covering 96% of the world’s women and girls) and 56 key gender equality issues aligned to 14 of the 17 SDGs. The index shows a concerning trend, that nearly 40% of countries globally are either stagnating or even declining in their progress to gender equality.
